Last night, as I was tucking Lily into bed, she told me "Mom, I'm really glad to have you home". She totally nailed that one on the head. I'm glad to be home and I'm glad that others are happy to have me home as well. This statement was especially welcomed from her, since just earlier in the evening, she had given me a hard time about the vegetables on her plate at dinner. She likes most vegetables, but I'm trying to introduce new flavors to my family, and roasted brussel sprouts and sweetened carrots were NOT to her liking, and she surly let me know, with flair!
Another thing I've found to preoccupy my time recently is pinterest. Now let me tell you about my aversion to pinterest initially when my mother was telling me about it, probably over a year ago now. We used to have a pretty good banter going on about how she'd find something on pinterest and I would tell her I saw the same thing on facebook. Well, I started using pinterest a bit over a month ago and I love it. My idea behind pinning is that I'm only going to pin things I'd actually use, create, or cook. I'm loving it so far, and have created an ever growing list of practical pins. Thanks Mom (I'm hooked)!
